In my first writing I presented a little bit myself and, in the last one, I had to write about the influence of psychologists on our society as an opinion essay. Of course, it has been an improvement with my English expression, vocabulary, grammar and fluency.
To analyse them I’ll start with the structure and the content:
The content isn’t as mature as now because if I will have to write again a presentation of myself I will do it very different, moreover I didn’t structure the writing because I divided it in paragraphs but not at all, and I also mixted the information. Furthermore, in the first composition I didn’t use connectors, I only used a few pronouns (where…) and I repeated some words during the writing (now, maybe I do it too but less than before) and using short sentences. Nowadays, the things have changed in concretely things, for example I can do a structured writing, as the last one (about the influence psychologists), with its paragraphs, its connectors to make the composition in order and organized, its relative clauses and give a conclusion.
And finally, about the language and the vocabulary I can say that I’ve learnt more words to use and control a little more the verbs and the modal verbs, and the structure of the sentences. For example, in the first writing I wrote short sentences with repeated words, and now I’m able to use some synonyms of some words and use relative clauses to make the sentence longer…
As I said before, I think I’ve improved my English language practising to write compositions and thanks the grammar taught in class.

The first oral presentation we had to do in first of batxillerat we had to do it alone, without a partner and the topic could be about ourselves, a trip we had done, talk about our hobbies… I chose, at first, introduce myself and then tell my classmates the trip I did with my family in Disney Land Paris in 2003. So, I knew very well the topic to be able to tell it them but, of course, I had to prepared it a lot at home.
Between both presentations I can see a difference with the vocabulary, the grammar, the fluency and the construction of the sentences, but not of the structure because it was well: it had an introduction, a body and a conclusion with some connectors as “at first, then, in conclusion…”.
About the vocabulary and the grammar, I can say that I’ve improve because I’ve correct some mistakes I did before (although I do mistakes still!!), I’m able to use a vocabulary and grammar more varied doing sentences longer and more complex sentences (as relative clauses). The thing I follow doing in the oral presentations is to speak with a calm voice and slowly, it hasn’t changed… Either it had changed my nervous before to do it, but it is my personality…I hope to lost them in few time!! An other aspect that it hasn’t changed, well..it has changed but I think a little, it is the pronunciation.
In general, I think I’ve improved in all, especially the fluency. And now it’s the time to practice and practice because we don’t forget it, concretely because we improve it more!!
