Computers have made the world a better place ?

Nowadays, the computers are very used, practical and introduced in our society; lots of people need them to work and there are very few people who don't have, minimum, one computer at home.
Despite, the world isn't a better place because of the computer existence because, as all the things, it has got advantages and disadvantages.

One the one hand, this automatic machine has good qualities and the best one is that it has made evolve the science and the technology, and thanks to it we have could investigated, discovered and solved things as important as diseases. Moreover, the computers also have made easier the communication between people who are around the world, because it's instantaneous, they permit us to get informations about everything immediately by the Internet, write or talk with people , watch a film, listen to the music, etc.

On the other hand, they have negatives aspects which tell us why the computers haven't made the world a better place. Apart that they are used to work, to search information..., the computers make that lot of people spend much time on it instead to dedicate it to be and to talk with the family or to be useful. In addition, the computers endure many expenses because, apart from to be expensive, they break down very often and then it's necessary to repair them, but if they can't be repaired maybe you will have lost all the information that they contained. Moreover, they need the electricity to work and when there isn't it we can't use them.

In conclusion, of my point of view, the computers haven't made the world a better place because we can live without them, although they have helped to develop our society economic, culture and technologically. However, I think that every time the population depend more about them and lots of cultural things are disappearing because of it.
